On Hiatus in 2020

On Hiatus in 2020

To my many valued clients, partners, and friends:

I’d like to share that after nearly two years of consideration, I’ve decided to take some time away from photography starting November 1, 2019.

When I left my first career and returned to photo school in 1995, it was to pursue a passion and a lifelong dream. With many thanks to all of you, I’ve been very fortunate to follow that dream, to meet great people along the way, and to earn a living doing it. Not everyone gets to say that, and you all have my utmost gratitude for helping make that possible.

Now after 23 years it’s time to decide if that dream has run its course.  If not, I’ll come back to it with renewed energy and great new ideas.  But officially, I will be on hiatus and not accepting any new projects starting November 1, 2019 as I explore all the options.

I’ll continue to remain reachable through my same email address, cell phone, and social channels, and I’ll post updates on my website.

Beyond 2020 I can’t yet say, but I do know it would take a lot to top the opportunity that I’ve had. Until then, I thank you all again for your confidence, support, and friendship for so many years, and wish you all the best next year and beyond.

With sincerest gratitude,

Seattle Photographer Andrew Buchanan is on hiatus in 2020.
